Tiger Hill - Suzhou

Tiger Hill is known for its natural beauty as well as its historic sites. The hill is so named because it is said to look like a crouching tiger. Another legend states that a white tiger appeared on the hill to guard it following the burial of King Helu.

Numerous historical sites can be found on the hill, some of which can be traced back more than 2,500 years ago. The Tiger Hill Pagoda stands on the peak. It's the oldest pagoda in the vicinity of Suzhou and has the distinction of being China's Leaning Tower.
