Shibaozhai - Yangtze River Cruise

The Shibaozhai Temple is a 12-story, 18th century temple built on the northern bank of the Yangtze River of China. Shibaozhai (Stone Treasure Stronghold) was erected by Emperor Qianlong on a large rock rising almost 100 feet out of the river. The Shibaozhai Temple is an architecural delight, having been built without nails. This site celebrates an ancient legend concerning a small hole in the temple wall where rice trickled out to feed the monks. Unfortunately, when the monks got greedy and enlarged the hole to make the rice flow quicker, the rice dried up altogether.

Macau - Just a Ferry Ride from Hong Kong

Macau is a unique destination that preserves a multi-culture heritage. As a Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, Macau includes a peninsula and two islands in the Pearl River Delta of Guangdong Province.  The 40-mile journey is about 55 minutes from Hong Kong by ferry.
While known now for its elaborate casinos, Macau's greatest asset and attraction is the heritage of cultures, where the arts and lifestyles of ancestral China have flourished alongside those of colonial Portugal.
The numerous number of historic buildings, streets and squares have survived in the shadow of the skyscrapers and city planning of the modern world.

Lantau Island - Hong Kong

The beautiful scenery and famous historical sites are truly fascinating throughout Lantau Island. The chain of mountains stretches from the higher elevations in the West to the lower ridges in the East. Phoenix Mountain, over 3000 feet is the highest peak in the mountain range and the second highest peak in all of Hong Kong. Visitors often climb up at night to reach the top before daybreak to admire the sunrise.

One of the most impressive sites on Lantau Island is the Big Buddha, officially known as Tian Tan Buddha which stands at 34 feet tall and is part of the Po Lin Monastery complex. Weighing over 250 tons, the statue is the biggest bronze, seated Buddha in the world. Originally built as a source of inspiration and a place for contemplation, its massive size has turned it into a must-see attraction.
